.

1. To gain the maximum benefit out of your workouts, you need to do a variety of them so that your body does not get accustomed to it otherwise it will burn fewer calories than before.

I’m sure you have heard of this saying ‘variety is the spice of life’. Here is the thing. This is not applicable to foods only but it is also applicable to workouts as well. Just imagine if you eat the same old food again and again, your tongue would get so used to the taste that you no longer be as interested in that food as you were before. The same applies to workouts as well.

2. You have to replace long boring cardio with interval training. Interval training helps you lose weight quickly and easily, It is a time saver and it also helps you burn fat while resting. How cool is that!

3. Ensure that you snack an hour and a half before exercising. Have something that gives you energy like a low carbohydrate protein bar. It will help you sustain the intensity of your workouts.

    hi

what nutritional advise would you give to the muslims in the world who are fasting at this period of the year?I have noticed with quiet a few of them as to how,as soon as the fast opens, they consume high sugar-content food.Could this be detrimental for their health as they have not eaten throughout the day?Thank you

      Hi kam

Consuming high sugar content foods after breaking your fast is alright as these sugar helps to replenish the energy that is lost during the day. Of course, you should not overeat or continue eating these kind of foods after that(breaking fast) as the sugar in your body will be stored as fats instead of it being utilized. Intermittent fasting is beneficial but this does not mean you can indulge in unhealthy foods once the fast is over. Moderation is the key here.
