Slim Fast – Why You Need to Acquire a Slim and Healthy Body
by admin on Jul.22, 2009, under Tips
Fitness is one of those touchy subjects among many different people. Some people live a wonderful life when it comes to fitness. Being slim and trim is just second nature to them. They don’t even have to think about it or try very hard. Unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer people like this anymore. Our culture has promoted the lazy lifestyle. We have all night video game marathons while drinking a sugar loaded energy drink and eating some junk food. Our jobs are in little cubicles that don’t promote physical movement. We get in the habit of sitting around doing nothing instead of exercising. Is this really the best way to live?
In case you’re wondering, you want to be slim. In fact, you probably want to be slim fast. You want to shed those unwanted pounds as quickly as possible. You want to get in there and get the job done. Why would you want to be slim and fit as quickly as possible?
There are many advantages to getting slim fast. First of all, the biggest thing is the way you’ll feel about yourself. If you used to be skinny, just think about how you felt back then as compared to now. Were you happier back then? Did you feel more confident about yourself in general? There’s a good chance that you probably did. You weren’t afraid to talk to anyone and you had the confidence that you needed to succeed. You knew that you looked good and there wasn’t any question about it.
In addition to feeling better about yourself, others will treat you differently. It’s a sad commentary on human nature, but its a known fact. When you look good, others are going to treat you better. A beautiful woman can get out of speeding tickets, get free drinks at bars, and a lot of other perks that an overweight woman might not get. While it doesn’t say much for society’s ability to look at the inner person, it is the honest truth.
Another huge factor in getting slim is that you will be much healthier. There are a plethora of diseases that come with being overweight. Heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and a host of other things come with the territory. If you’re not overweight, there’s a much better chance that you won’t have to put up with any of these conditions. Wouldn’t you like to be able to just live your life without having to worry about whether you’re going to be healthy enough to live until you get old? Wouldn’t it be great to not be a frequent visitor to the doctor’s office as you get older? You want to be able to be around for your children and your grandchildren. Therefore, you need to get slim fast.
Why delay any longer? Start to make plans to get slim and fit as soon as possible. Once you make the commitment, there’s no turning back. You’ll start to feel better instantly now that you’ve made the decision.

I have recently gained some weight and I can tell that I am not getting as much attention as I used too. So being slim definitely has its advantages. I never thought that gaining some weight would make such a difference in your social life, but unfortunately it does!!!

I strongly agree as being slim is partly about looking good but of course our main goal here is to be healthy and free of all diseases as well.

yep, that is so true. In fact, when you has the motivation to become slim don’t forget to eat regularly, not starved yourself. This is one kind of interpretation that inevitably in the future, you’ll eat more than you expected, thus gain weight more then you’re before. Why? because starvation will leads to harming your metabolism normal rate. Just try to change and lead a healthy lifestyle by eating healthy food and regularly keep yourself fit by exercising.

Yeah, what is recommended here is eating smaller portions but more frequently. Like if you normally eat 3 meals a day, now eat 5-6 meals a day. Note: The total amount of food/calorie intake should be equal or less than what you used to eat normally(3 meals a day). For example, if your total calorie intake is 1000 calories/day when you used to eat 3 meals a day, now after eating 5-6 meals a day, you should maintain or if you can, reduce that total amount of calorie intake.

I absolutely agree on this. Remember your aim is not only to be slim, but to be healthy at the same time.

While there are thousands of blogs talking about loosing weight, the thing I like about your blog is that it offers no instant miracle formula like popping a pill and next day you are two pounds lighter. I feel more bloggers should accept the reality of how weight loss occurs naturally and its benefit in leading a healthier lifestyle.

It’s true that most of us want to achieve weight loss almost instantly but in reality, results can only be seen if you follow your weight loss regimen/program with discipline and this does not happen overnight.

Loosing weight is not an over night task. It requires strong will, dedication, a list of well planned action, and, at least in my case, support from spouse, friends and family. It took me 9 months to really loosing weight consistently! And I’m not ashame that diet pills finally involve here. Good post you have here.

I have been losing weight for as long as I can remember, but I believe that I have finally reached the culmination of it with this book. Her book is a wholistic approach to learning the tools to deal with life without using food, except for fuel and no more than 20% joy. The title spoke to me at the beginning and then each page that followed. I did sign up for her telephone course after reading the book because I needed a little prodding to make me do all the exercises and live this book, rather than just read it and think about it.

I agree that the most important outcome of getting slim and fit is feeling good about yourself. That feeling will spill over into all other areas of your life.
