Never having to diet or have an exercise routine to keep the pounds off came to an end when jobs got harder to find in the construction trade. Lots of exercise there, now its watch what you eat and walk, walk, and more walking.

exercise is the best way in my opinion, but it has to the right one. And be disciplined. I have a friend exercises for an hour then goes and its two cheesburgers. I lough at that.
