Many of us believe that carbohydrate is the source of obesity. As such, the low carb low fat diet has been more popular than other dieting methods. You must have heard of the Atkins diet, South Beach diets, the Zone diet that are still popular. There are even minor low carbohydrate plans out there and these diets try to out beat each other in terms of effectiveness.

Many of us would opt for low carbohydrate diets as it also comes with in-built menus and recipes. As such, we do not have to worry about cooking delicious low carbohydrate meals. But is the low carbohydrate diet really for you? In fact, before choosing a certain diet, you have to do your research and see whether it is suitable for you. The thing that you need to find out is what type of food is allowed to eat and what is not allowed.

The low carbohydrate diet severely restricts your carbohydrate intake. As a result, most of these diet plans do not allow at all or limit your sugar intake and foods that contain high carbohydrate like chocolate, pasta, potatoes, white bread and many more. If these foods are your favorite foods and you did not do your research before starting this diet, you will definitely give up half way through as get fed up with the diet eventually. The low carb low fat diet is not suitable for those who have been eating sugary foods for years as switching to this new diet is quite difficult unless you are really determined and disciplined.

Having said that, the low carbohydrate diet also comes with delicious recipes and menus that will satisfy your taste bud and limits your carbohydrate intake at the same time. You do not have to worry about it at all.
